I reside outside of the country where I would like to do my internship, can I still apply to the program?

The program is open for residents of the Russian Federation. The INKOMPASS internship program will take place in the cities of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. If you reside outside these cities and would like to join the program, the company will not cover any relocation or accomodation expenses.

What is the selection process like?

Take only 4 steps from the application stage to receiving job offer. The application steps are the following:

1. Complete the online application by clicking APPLY NOW. If you meet the criteria, you will be invited to the next step.

2. Complete online test that will assess your:
- Analytical Skills / Problem Solving Ability / Ability to draw logical conclusion and solve problems based on facts
- Customer Focus / Innovation that Matters / Personal Growth Mindset and Communication

3. If you meet the criteria, you will be invited to the next step, which is a video interview.

4. Participate in an on-ground assessment (OGA), the final stage of the recruitment process. During the OGA, we will meet face-to-face and get to learn more about each other. You will have a chance to showcase your skills in business cases and team activities, network with other applicants, and meet current Philip Morris International employees. If you meet the criteria, we may invite you to be an INKOMPASS intern!

If I cannot attend the on-ground assessment, are there any other dates available?

We will have several dates of the on-ground assessment, so you will be able to choose the one that suits you most.

Will I receive feedback if I don’t get selected? When?

Yes. You will be informed of your application progress during each step of the process through your registered email. Whether or not you meet the criteria to progress to the next application step, you will receive an email confirmation regarding your status. If you do not hear back from us within 2-3 weeks of completing an application step, please contact us at

When will the internship start and how long will it last? Is there any flexibility with these dates?

The internship will start this summer, beginning on July 1st and ending on August 31st, 2020 with the possibility of a prolonagtion. These dates are flexible and we can offer alternative periods that will be convenient to you.

What are the normal work hours?

In Philip Morris affiliates in Russia we offer flexible working hours, which is a long-standing practice widely used and appreciated by our employees. This practice certainly applies to our INKOMPASS interns, as it is our priority to provide them with flexibility which will allow them to have a meaningful learning experience!

Is the INKOMPASS internship paid? What contractual conditions will I be under as an intern?

The selected interns will be employed by the company on a temporary contract and will receive a competitive payment during the Internship Cycle. Further details will be provided to them at the time of the offer.

Will I be assigned a group project or an individual project?

Depending on the project scope and expected deliverables, projects may require individual or group work. In any case, you can be sure that all projects will be meaningful, challenging, and give you the opportunity to showcase and further develop your skills, whether it is in an individual or group setting.

What type of guidance and support can I expect to receive throughout my program, to help develop me professionally?

Every INKOMPASS intern will receive day-to-day guidance and support from their COACH, who has the same function as a supervisor. He / she will introduce you to your project, clarify expectations, guide you on a day-to-day basis, and provide you with feedback.

In addition, you will also receive support from:

- Your PROJECT SPONSOR, who will ensure you have everything you need in terms of resources and budget to execute your proposals;
- Your BUDDY, who will help you answer general questions and network with different people and departments in the company.

Will I receive feedback regarding my performance? When?

Your COACH and PROJECT SPONSOR will provide you with feedback throughout your INKOMPASS experience.

Will I receive a job offer with Philip Morris International when I complete my internship?

If you successfully complete the cycle of the INKOMPASS internship, you can join us for next summer or you may receive a job offer with PMI once you have graduated.
